Manifesto

New on track.be

From TRACK to S.M.A.K.

TRACK finally came to an end on Sunday 16 september 2012.
We look back with pride and contentment:

217,144 visitors
27% of visitors were tourists, 15% of them were from the Netherlands
1,110 participants in the (inter)active trajects
20,500 spectators for the (inter)active trajects
617 guided tours

TRACK would like to thank all its visitors and everyone who made any contribution to this project.

While the neon TRACK sign will remain on the façade of the S.M.A.K. for a little while longer, and a number of artworks in the city will remain on view until December 2012, we are working on the prolongation of several TRACK elements into the future.

The following works of TRACK are still accessible to the public:

CLUSTER CITADEL

LEO COPERS : IROM ETRA ORP TSE MUROCED TE ECLUD
- Citadelpark

TOBIAS PUTRIH : Book Tower Studio
- hall of S.M.A.K.
- in a modified form

CLUSTER MACHARIUS

CLUSTER TONDELIER

TRACK is over and we are returning to the S.M.A.K. building once again. We would like to introduce a new exhibition called ENSEMBLEMATIC:

ENSEMBLEMATIC will be on at the S.M.A.K. until 6.1.2013. It will include both representative and more surprising and atypical works from the oeuvres of several artists. For instance, it will be mainly small objects by Panamarenko that are shown rather than his flying machines, and the works by Luc Tuymans also include drawings and stamps. Several of the artists, including Leo Copers, Mark Manders and Thierry De Cordier, have been involved in setting up the display of their work.
